I had an absolute ball as I played machines I remembered from my teenage years and beyond. The guy who owns the museum was super friendly and helpful, showing me around when I got there, answering the few questions I had, making sure I knew about some of the features of the machine I was playing and then checking in on me throughout the hour as I changed machines to see if I was enjoying myself. I chose the latter and boy was it value for money. However because it is a competition day all of the machines are switched to free play mode and you then choose whether you wish to pay $25 to play free pinball all day or $10 to play free pinball for an hour. I was fortunate to visit the Australian Pinball Museum on the last Saturday of the month (not planned this way) when they have a competition on for anyone who wishes to participate although this is not a requirement if, like me, you'd rather just play pinball. WOW.what a wonderful and fun trip down memory lane.
